Who could ask for a better location for your holiday than in the market town of Bakewell, famous for its Bakewell Pudding which can be found in many of the local shops. With each of the five bedrooms offering en-suite facilities, and two of which benefit from being on the ground floor, this fantastic property is ideal for less mobile guests. The large inviting living room can be found on the ground floor, as well as the well-equipped kitchen with all you need to cook up a tasty family meal. The property also benefits from having its own games room, complete with a pool table and 7 foot table tennis top which can be placed on top of the pool table to convert it into table tennis, perfect for children and adults alike. Outside there is a large patio with garden furniture, ideal for dining al fresco.
Ideally situated opposite the Bakewell recreation ground, the property is perfect for families. Bakewell is a popular market town in the heart of Derbyshire, offering a wide selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, and even a local farmers market where you can buy locally sourced produce. Chatsworth House and Estate and Haddon Hall can both be found nearby, and make a wonderful day for everyone to enjoy. The Monsal Trail is also close by and is ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding, and starts in Bakewell and will take you to the outskirts of Buxton. The beautiful Hope Valley in Matlock, has cable cars which will take you to the Heights of Abraham. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We loved this house! Conveniently situated 5 minutes walk from Bakewell, opposite a large green recreation ground, but set back from the noisy A6, it’s in the perfect spot. Each gorgeous bedroom has an en-suite, and there are two downstairs bedrooms for those with joint problems. The bedding was good, the towels were soft and fluffy and the owner was readily available for queries. The pool table was enjoyed by all. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was great as we mainly stayed in and cooked in the evenings. There are 2 fridges if you want one for beer or baby food, and there are children’s toys in the house. The smart TV worked well, and there is paring on site. I think it was the perfect rental property and I would not hesitate to return if I go back to Bakewell, nor to recommend it to others.

This house is very deceiving from the outside, and inside is so homely and with Every bedroom having an ensuite was 100%, it really was a great find for our Family Christmas. The nice part was that the layout allowed people to have their own space / time, or communal (however you feel). The kitchen was lovely and well equipped, the front room very comfy and Every bedroom was spacious and Very Comfortable... And to top it off, its only a very short stroll into Bakewell, the park & walk trails. And with parking too, font and back was plenty for our big family.... Thank You Geraldine too, communication throughout was so appreciated.
