Approached by a gated track and sited within level walking distance of Bakewell, this detached holiday cottage (to the right of stables building – largest building in photograph) is set in fields adjacent to the Bakewell Showground (first Wednesday and Thursday in August). Bakewell has a weekly livestock and stall market (Mondays) and a swimming pool. It is a good base from which to visit Derbyshire’s magnificent landscape, country houses and the ‘plague village’ of Eyam. The 8-mile long Monsal Trail (500 yards) provides excellent walking and cycling. Golf, riding, fishing and tennis available locally. Cycle hire 1½ miles. Shops and pub 1 mile.
