I spoke with the Lady owner before we arrived and she was very helpful. The cottage is extremely well appointed with pretty much all you could want to make you feel at home. The rooms are all spotless, spacious and furnished well keeping with the character of the building. Parking was easy with the provided permit just across the road and up the stairs by the wonderful church. This is perfect for exploring the surrounding beautiful countryside for walking and cycling. Bakewell town has good selection of restaurants and pubs with some good beers to be found. Recommend visit to Thornbridge brewery Tap house and tour. I hope to return with rest of family some time.

We were hosting Xmas dinner there for my family of 8 and the owner pulled the stops out to make it happen for us. She provided extra seating, and lots of accessories you need that we didn't have room to pack. We had a very special Xmas day. The cottage itself was very well equipped and so delightful. We had a wonderful stay. And the two daschunds barked their approval too.
