About this property
Located in the picturesque village of Monyash in Derbyshire, this detached, stone-built cottage has been beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard - a fact which is reflected in its Gold Award from the Tourist Board. Situated on a Peak District hill farm with rolling countryside all around and wonderful views, this cottage has four superb en-suite bedrooms, a large oak beamed sitting room, stone floors throughout and a wood burning stove. There is an excellent kitchen area where you can prepare sumptuous meals before relaxing in the secluded courtyard garden with a glass of something chilled, or if you prefer, you can stroll along the road to the 17th century pub and enjoy an excellent meal.
This cottage is suitable for all guests and is an ideal base for exploring the Peak District National Park. With the market town of Bakewell, home to the famous puddings, just a short drive away, and the famous spa town of Buxton, with its opera house, close by, this cottage is perfect for a family getaway in the beautiful Peak District countryside.

Outside shelter floor unsafe. Cushions on settee smell. Coffee machine didnât work ,hob needs instructions. Downstairs toilet seat very loose , Garden needs a tidy up. We have stopped in numerous holidays with you and this property is no way a gold standard 5 star , it needs to be reviewed. I spent £1500 for 3nights for my family , wonât be using you again please respond. Thanks

There is plenty of seating inside and out and we were able to enjoy the delightful garden whilst sipping our G&Ts. The owner Garry was able to help us when there was an issue with one of our pieces of equipment (nothing to do with Spingle Barn) and he was cheery and friendly. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of hangers !

Ideal for a family get together. Loved the outside space with the various seating areas. Only niggle was the BBQ which hadnât been cleaned by previous occupants and the state of the sheltered seating area outside. Just needed a good sweep.
