As you come up the drive you will spot some furry neighbours which love to be visited during your stay.
A short walk into the nearest town of Bakewell where the river Derwent passes through making for a tranquil town stroll. You are a short drive from Chatsworth House where you can take in a historic experience learning about the house, the family and the blooming gardens that surround it. You are spoilt for choice with walks and trails, closely by is the Monsal Head trail or further afield is Tissington plus many many more, and if you don’t fancy taking the car out, there is plenty to explore from the doorstep.
Nearby are village pubs in Monyash, both offering tasty homemade meals and local ales. Burton Manor Farm has everything to offer to make a fantastic and memorable stay in the Peak District with you family and friends. Pub and restauant 1½ miles.

We spent a week at Haddon Cottage, located in absolutely stunning Peak District Countryside, apart from the normal farm noises it was very peaceful & quiet.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there is no direct access to the garden from the cottage and only 1 T towel was provided.But the location is amazing, 5 min drive or 30 min walk if you don't mind the uphill walk back from Bakewell.Chatsworth House, Matlock & Matlock Bath, Buxton all just a short drive away.

This place is great if you just need to get your head down, it’s too tight to enjoy as a place to relax and rest. The decor is extremely dated and it lacked self catering equipment that we had at our other stack in the Lake District. The view outside is stunning and cannot be faulted along with the pack of various farm animals they keep in an enclosure near to the cottages. We stayed in the Hadden Suite which we felt was quite cramped. We were 3 with two dogs. It’s a 1.3 mile walk downhill into Bakewell town which is amazing. The shower was extremely claustrophobic and the decor could do with some serious updating like the Lino on the floor. Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Situated with lots of nearby attractions and close to Bakewell, Matlock etc. Our dogs loved it too, will definitely be back.
