Home of the famous Bakewell pudding, this wonderful riverside market town offers a wide range of interesting shops and independent eateries to cater to all tastes. Just 5 miles away is Chatsworth house and gardens, which has fabulous walks and a wonderful historic building to explore. It is the venue for many events and offers plenty of things to do, with an adventure playground and farmyard perfect for family days out. In autumn the Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are a spectacular event and can be reached within 9 miles and the historic Haddon Hall and Gardens just 3 miles away provide an informative and historical day out for all the family.
