Continue through to the kitchen/diner, complete with all expected appliances for a self-catered stay, along with bespoke concrete worktops, a feature fireplace, and a lovely dining table for four, where you can prepare meals and dine together. Climb the stairs to be greeted by the well-presented sitting room, adorned with feature panelling, plush seating, a TV, a selection of books, and enjoying views out to the churchyard; unwind in this space with a good book whilst watching the world go by. When sleep calls, select between three bedrooms, starting with the single on the first floor. Ascend the stairs to reach the double with TV, and a further single, offering plenty of space to catch some rest. Awaken to an indulgent soak in the roll-top bath, or a refreshing shower, before enjoying a coffee in the suntrap courtyard. Travel by foot into the town to stroll alongside River Wye and take in the stunning views from Bakewell Bridge, before stocking up on the essentials or stopping off for a bite to eat at one of the nearby eateries; The Woodyard, Wheatsheaf Pub and Pantry, and The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop are all popular options. For further attractions, aim for Matlock, where you can visit Matlock Farm Park, travel up to the Heights of Abraham, tour Matlock Bath Aquarium and arcade, delve into the local history at the Peak District Mining Museum, or take in the picturesque surroundings of Lumsdale Waterfall. A charming little market town with a charming rural feel that offers a nice assortment of stores, eateries, and bars in addition to regional farmers markets. The town's historic market hall dates back to the 17th century, and a contemporary recreation facility with a pool is close by. In the Peak District National Park, Bakewell is conveniently located for visiting this stunning area. Within reasonable driving distance are Britain's top theme park, Alton Towers, as well as the rocky Black Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. The spectacular caverns in neighbouring Castleton and Little John's burial site in Hathersage are both well worth a visit, as are the other stately homes to be visited, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to name a few. See the spectacular Edwardian Opera House in Buxton, which was created by Frank Matcham, who also created the London Palladium.
