Pipistrelle Barn is utterly wonderful. Created out of a mellow stone barn it is a super little hideaway for a leisurely and perhaps romantic stay in beautiful Derbyshire. In a secret little valley just down from the centre of picturesque Kniveton it also has an incredibly peaceful location. Sit on the cottage patio and only birdsong disturbs the silence!

Set on a tranquil lane with countryside all around you could be in the middle of nowhere. But a short stroll along the lane will get you to the super Red Lion pub, with its great beers and renowned food, attracting visitors from far and wide. Super walks are all around and all Derbyshire's holiday attractions are close at hand.

The local town of Ashbourne is a must with its lovely market square, country stores, antique shops, art galleries and restaurants. Nearby historic Wirksworth is our favourite with lots of individual shops, heritage trail and brilliant Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. Farther afield you will love visiting Chatsworth House and Gardens, Carsington with all its watersports, wandering along tranquil Water-cum-Jolly Dale, cycling along the High Peak Trail and perhaps watching the sun set from Calver Edge.

Facilities in the cottage include:

A hall with glass staircase leading to the lounge and dining kitchen. A superb lounge with feature stone wall, comfortable furniture, T.V, Freeview, Netflix, DVD and WiFi. An ultra-modern dining kitchen with breakfast island, bespoke units, hard wood surfaces, Belfast sink, hob, oven, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. A very stylish downstairs double bedroom with king-size bed. An adjoining very classy shower room with W.C. 

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a sunny patio and garden area with furniture. Parking for two cars is available. A small pet is welcome. Smoking in the cottage is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
