There is a stream, slopes, and steps in the grounds.. This stone barn conversion nestles in the tranquil surroundings of the countryside, with a stream running alongside.
Tastefully converted, this holiday property offers spacious and bright accommodation in a great location close to the Peak District National Park. It is 4 miles from the old market town of Chesterfield, famous for its crooked spire and offering a large range of facilities; shops, restaurants, cafés, cinema, bowling, swimming, and gyms. Walton Golf Club, just two miles away, accepts visitors. It provides a great holiday base for discovering the many attractions and activities available in the Peak District.
Within ten miles are Chatsworth House, Gardens, children’s farm with adventure playground, the town of Bakewell, famous for its puddings and livestock market, Bolsover Castle, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Renishaw’s Italianate gardens, Matlock Bath with cable car to the heights of Abraham, Darley Dale steam railway and the Crich tramway museum.
A little further, picturesque villages include Ashford-in-the-Water, Eyam plague village, Winster, and Castleton with its caverns and castle and Buxton spa town. In addition to the many walking and cycling trails in the peaks, countryside walks are available from the doorstep over the local hills and moors. Shop and pubs 0.5 miles away.

    We have returned to West Barn three times now which says something in itself. It’s close to Chesterfield but far enough away to be out in the countryside with spectacular views very close by. It suits us perfectly with beautiful decor and all mod cons.

    Brilliant place to stay. Everything we could possibly need & high quality furnishings & equipment. V comfortable. Lots of games, DVDs & books. Great base for exploring the Peak District - only 20 minutes from Chatsworth & amenities in Chesterfield easy to get to. Definitely would recommend.
