Nearby, the Chatsworth Estate offers scenic walks, Chatsworth House itself is a must-see. A short drive will take you to Bakewell, famous for its charming streets and the iconic Bakewell pudding. Matlock and Matlock Bath are also nearby, providing a mix of beautiful scenery and family-friendly attractions, including the Heights of Abraham cable cars and the Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park. Lovely homely cottage, just on the border of the peak district. We explored walks, towns and villages all around, and it was a lovely holiday.

Mill Close Cottage is a lovely peaceful place to relax and unwind. The host is pleasant and helpful. It is also a good base to explore The Peak District. We will hopefully be back. We booked Mill Close Cottage while our house had some work done on it and we are glad we did because we found a place that suited us in every way.
