The kitchen diner is well fitted with doors opening onto a lovely conservatory with wicker sofa and chairs and lovely views over the garden and surrounding countryside. The bedroom is on the first floor, very stylish and beautifully decorated with double bed, armchair, blanket box and dressing table. Imagine waking up in the morning and gazing out over unspoilt countryside. Outside there’s a pretty cottage garden with wooden table and chairs, the views are simply stunning from this delightful Hilltop Barn!

Step back in time at the wonderful National Trust properties - Wallington Hall, Cragside and Gibside. Walk the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail. Discover the remains of the Roman town of Corstopitum and the forts of Chester's, Housesteads and Vindolanda are just 15 miles away. Hexham is famous for its mediaeval 7th Century Abbey, well worth a stop with some good shops, pubs, restaurants and a theatre. Just outside Hexham is the highest National Hunt racecourse in England. Alnwick Castle and Gardens and Kielder Water with it's dark sky project are easily accessible by car. Durham cathedral and Newcastle are about 30 minutes away. Walking, sailing, fishing and horse riding all available nearby.
