Guests say

The Farmhouse Retreat in Stalybridge receives high praise for its warm and cosy atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the secure, comfortable accommodations with great views and facilities. The thoughtful gestures by the owners add to the charm, although there is a mention of an uncomfortable sofa and a desire for a chair in the bedroom.

Reviews consistently mention the property being 'very clean' and 'spotlessly clean', indicating high standards of cleanliness. One mention of an unclean oven suggests a minor oversight rather than a common issue.

The property boasts beautiful views and a quiet village location, with easy access to Manchester and nearby attractions. The steep access road is noted, which may require careful driving.

The property is described as 'comfortable' with a 'very comfortable bed', though there is a single complaint about an uncomfortable and low sofa, and a wish for an additional chair in the bedroom.

Facilities are generally praised, including a well-equipped kitchen and secure gates. However, the lack of a dining table and chairs, and a mention of an unclean oven, suggest room for improvement.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in their accommodating nature and special gestures, such as providing a hi-vis vest and a cuddly toy lamb. While these gestures are highly appreciated, they may not be a standard offering for all guests.
