About this property

This delightful, single-storey cottage sits next to the owner’s home, close to the tidal River Wyre, in the village of Hambleton. Presented to a delightful standard, The Coach House welcomes up to four guests and up to two dogs, who are looking to break away and experience this region of Lancashire. Upon arrival you will find your own parking area for two cars, directly outside the property so you can easily unload your personal belongings. Step into the open-plan living space, boasting vaulted beamed ceilings, laminate flooring throughout, and Velux windows for plenty of natural light, this is an excellent place to enjoy country life and enjoy the company of each other. There is also a handy washer/dryer so you can pop your clothes on a wash after an outdoor excursion. As the night draws in, head to the bedrooms to catch up on your rest, bedroom one has a king-size bed and plenty of hanging and drawer space; bedroom two has either a king-size or twin option with plenty of hanging space. Just around the corner from the Coach House is the Shard Riverside Inn where you can enjoy a meal or enjoy a drink on the side of the River Wyre whilst taking in the idyllic setting. Within a short drive you can reach the village of Hambleton; stock up on essentials at the convenience store, treat the group to a meal at The Shovels Inn or pick up fish and chips or a pizza takeaway; other amenities include a chemist, butchers, and pet shop. The market town of Poulton is nearby and the coastal towns of Knott End and Thornton Cleveleys are slightly further but well worth a visit. There's plenty of coastal attractions worth adding to your itinerary, particularly in Blackpool where the little ones will be in their element at the SEA LIFE Centre, Madame Tussauds, Sandcastle Waterpark, and the famous Blackpool pleasure beach offering a number of thrilling rides. Venture inland and uncover the Forest of Bowland AONB, offering a landscape rich in heritage and natural beauty, a must visit for outdoor enthusiasts. Choose The Coach House for a memorable escape to Lancashire.

Beside the River Wyre, in the English county of Lancashire, is Hambleton, a settlement and civil parish. The vibrant coastal town of Blackpool is just a short drive away and offers a number of must-see tourist sites, including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The Blackpool Tower, Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool Zoo, and much, much more. For those last-minute necessities, nearby towns and villages like Fleetwood, Blackpool, and Knott End-on-Sea provide a variety of independent stores and supermarkets as well as a number of excellent traditional country pubs and restaurants. Great location, everything there that you could possibly need. The views are spectacular. The beds are luxurious and so comfortable. Dog friendly. We were greeted with welcome pack even the dog got one. The owners were on hand for any help we needed. So lovely & warm. You couldn’t ask for more. Can’t wait to come back. Thankyou for having us.

It is furnished to a high standard and has all you need. Good parking for your car and close to walks and amenities. Gill and Tom were friendly and helpful and we, along with our Golden Retriever Brodie, were made to feel very welcome. The only reason we can't give absolute top marks is due to the lack of any outdoor space (patio/garden) but that is clearly defined in the property description, so we expected it.
