About this property

Cow Hill Laith Barn is a recently renovated barn conversion, nestled in the hills of the Ribble Valley and offering superb views across the beautiful Lancashire countryside. The property is located in the small village of Sawley, just outside of Bolton-by-Bowland, and the local pub is just a short distance from the property. As you enter the property, to the left is the newly refurbished kitchen containing a dining table and chairs for up to five people, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and washing machine. The lounge has comfortable seating and a cosy woodburning stove to relax in front of in the evening. There is also a downstairs WC with basin. Heading upstairs, you will find a beautiful feature window and seating to enjoy the countryside view on offer, the ceiling also features some beautiful original beams, which add character to the property. There are three bedrooms; one is a king-sized double with an en-suite shower room, the second is a single room with a Velux window and beamed ceiling and the final bedroom contains two single zip & link beds which can be used as a twin or double. The good-sized family bathroom has a shower over bath, WC and basin. To the exterior of the property, there is a lovely patio are with seating and picturesque countryside views from every direction. There is ample off-road parking and the property is set in a peaceful location. Cow Hill Laith Barn is a great base from which to explore the Ribble Valley and the town of Clitheroe is around 7 miles away.

Bolton-by-Bowland is a charming village situated in the hills and dales of the Ribble Valley. With two village greens, a village hall, cricket club, a shop and a tea room, Bolton-by-Bowland is an excellent village base for a holiday in this area. The surrounding Ribble Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is both peaceful and picturesque. For amenities, Clitheroe is just 7 miles away and is famed for its specialist shops, including a sausage shop that sells over seventy-five different varieties! The area is a food lover's paradise, with award-winning restaurants and country hotels situated throughout the valley. From Bolton-by-Bowland it is easy to explore both the Lakes and the Dales, ensuring this fantastic location has plenty to offer at any time of year!

    The owner thought of everything to make our stay comfortable—from a well-equipped kitchen to fresh towels. We were delighted to find a Christmas tree in place and mince pies waiting for us on the table. The barn has a log burner which made the colder nights extra cosy. It was also perfect for our dog, with a secure garden, lovely walks through the village and around the nearby ruins. The local pub was an added bonus, serving great food. Thank you for a wonderful stay—we can’t wait to return!

    The property owner was great, friendly and very informative about the local area. We had a cold snap while we there and the property was lovely and warm. Would love to come back , had a lovely break.

    minor housekeeping issues, but in fairness wouldn’t necessarily be aware unless alerted by guest. Indicated on numerous occasions that he wanted to come around and meet us. difficult one this, we used to do the same with our cottage guests, and some guests love a meet, some do not. the happy medium is text contact and or a phone call to check in and make sure everything is ok.Thats how we’d prefer it anyway! Hope to be back soon
