Offering space, comfort and endless attractions both on-site and nearby, this Bowland Country Park lodge appeals to families and friends seeking adventure in the Forest of Bowland AONB. On-site, younger guests will adore the farmyard animals, including goats, pigs and cows, plus the chance to meet llamas and meerkats. There are children’s attractions including go-karting and climbing frames, as well as woodland trails and walks along the River Hodder to appeal to guests of all ages. Local towns including Clitheroe (9.5 miles), Blackburn (15 miles) and Preston (16.5 miles) are overflowing with traditional Lancashire appeal, including fascinating history, unique architecture and shops, pubs and restaurants to liven up your stay. Pendle Hill (15 miles) is a must-visit for keen walkers, along with Parlick Hill (5 miles), accessible via the nearby village of Chipping (2.5 miles). Both boast incredible Ribble Valley views from their summits, plus pubs to fall into after a long hike.
This single-storey lodge has been well designed, using warm lighting and unique artwork to lend the space a warm, welcoming feel, finished with a sophisticated flair. It’s centred around an open-plan living space combining the lounge, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is a fully fitted, modern space with high-spec appliances and finishes, while there’s space to dine around the nearby dining table. The lounge features soft seating and a wall-mounted TV, plus a crackling wood burner ready to cast a warm glow over your evening. Once suitably relaxed and ready for bed, head along the hall to find three bedrooms. The largest is a master king-size bedroom with a private en-suite. The second and third bedrooms feature twin beds and are served by a gleaming family bathroom with a bath and shower attachment.
Step through the patio doors onto the decking and savour the crisp snap of Lancashire’s woodland air. The decking has been designed with relaxation in mind, complete with outdoor furniture, a gas BBQ and your very own private hot tub. On-site facilities include a café, children’s play areas, a farm and endless walking trails and waymarked footpaths. Parking is private and allocated for two cars beside the lodge, with overflow space available in the shared car park, too.
