A cosy stone built, end of terrace cottage, in a central location less than a minute's walk from Barnoldswick town centre, just eight miles from Skipton. Recently fully renovated this delightful cottage is full of character and charm, making an ideal romantic retreat or a couple wishing to explore this historic and lovely area. With high quality workmanship throughout this old cottage boasts quality fittings with oak panelled doors, hand made oak cupboards and great attention to detail. The ground floor is completely open plan with a modern well equipped kitchen, dining area and stylish seating area with open plan staircase leading to the first floor. The main bedroom is warm and cosy and there is a stylish shower room, making this a perfect little holiday retreat. All the amenities of the town are close at hand including a good range of restaurants, local pubs, including the Cellar Bar and the Fountain Inn, both providing live music and a friendly atmosphere. The local walks are some of the best in the area with the walk to the summit of Weets Hill, a local favourite, from where on a good clear day Blackpool Tower can be seen, or at least that's what the locals claim. For the more energetic who enjoy a challenge, the walk to Pendle Hill, of Pendle Witch fame, is another great challenge. The walk across open meadows to the old Roman road, and the canal walks to West Marton and Salterforth are also firm favourites in the area. Nearby is the fabulous Trough of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with outstanding Gastropubs in almost every village. For the more energetic, the bike riding and walking opportunities to be found in the surrounding area are excellent. Nearby Skipton is a short drive and provides a four day market, award winning high street and an award winning fish and chip shop, to name but a few of the attractions of this popular old market town.
A lovely old cottage to get away from it all and discover this interesting area.
The old market town of Barnoldswick rests close to the countryside of the Pennine hills, just eight miles from Skipton, the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
