The property serves as a great base for exploring the surrounding areas and offers a comfortable stay with well-equipped facilities. The presence of friendly dogs and birds enhances the experience, making it a highly recommended retreat for relaxation and nature lovers.

The cottage is generally described as very clean, with only one mention of a cleanliness issue regarding some hair on pillow cases. This seems to be an isolated incident, as other reviews do not raise any concerns.

The location is consistently lauded for its tranquillity, lovely views, and proximity to local attractions. It is considered a great base for exploring Lancashire, Cumbria, and the Yorkshire Dales.

The cottage is deemed very comfortable, with a particularly comfy bed and a cosy log burner. However, there is a mention of the sofa and chair being slightly uncomfortable due to wood planks under the cushions.

My stay at Mount Cottage was amazing. I caught up on so much sleep and enjoyed truly relaxing days surrounded by beautiful views. You can even spot animals from the cottage, and the friendly pups next door were a lovely bonus. The log burner kept the place perfectly warm and cosy. As someone coming from the city, the peace and quiet were absolute blis. I couldnt have asked for a better escape. If you need a taxi while youre there, Ian from Bentham Taxis is perfectvery reliable and friendly. Highly recommend!

Easy to check in and lovely view of local farm. Would be great to have a larger bin in the kitchen, greater water presure and larger bed.
