Middleton is a little village in Morecambe, Lancashire, situated between the popular Heysham and Overton. The village has a holiday park, a petrol station, and a pub, making it a charming seaside refuge. The nearest beach is at Heysham, which also has a variety of cafes and historic monuments such as St Patrick's Chapel. Before heading on the Heysham Coast Line for a scenic walk along the coast, you may fuel up at Half Moon Bay Cafe and The Radford's Pie Company. If you want a bit more hustle and bustle during your stay, head to Lancaster, which has a plethora of shopping, eating, and drinking places. If you're willing to drive or take the train, the Forest of Bowland aonb and the Lake District National Park are both easily accessible for walking and riding in natural splendour.

Firstly the information said garden with patio and furniture, in-fact it was a wooden garden bench surrounded by a brick wall and an outside toilet block. The photo gave the impression you could see the sea, and advertised a gorgeous setting, it was a bit like a prison courtyard with high walls and a high gate, definitely not pleasant to sit in. Couldnât curl up and watch a film like it said because Netflix was only on for 2 days and couldnât get it back and then could only get catch up on BBC no other channel so it was limited. Bedroom TVs poor, only able to get the 4 basic channels and kids program. We decided to stay in and relax one of the days and itâs very noisy during the day with tractors passing and lots of delivery vans as we were right next to the shop, also children screaming and shouting which I realise is difficult but during the day itâs not quite at all, certainly not a peaceful setting like advertised. We had to ask for extra towels as we were only given one bath and one hand towel each for a week, there was no problem getting more but would be good to leave a few extra. The biggest thing letting it down was the chairs/settee, you couldnât snuggle down as it said because the chairs and settee were uncomfortable, it was a beautiful kitchen with everything you could need then the awful furniture in the lounge area, needs a large family sofa and easy chairs, big let down. Shop basic and it says beach cafe !!!!! Not really, there is a coffee machine but couldnât even get a sandwich on day of arrival and it was very dirty and grubby outside not a place you would want to sit for long. After saying all this the lady who looked after the bungalow was lovely and was willing to help at any time as was the man who was in the shop. The welcome pack was lovely the best we have had actually. The beds were really comfortable we slept very well and like I said above the kitchen was very well equipped and lovely to cook in, no dishwasher which was a shame because even most caravans have them these days, there was room for one so perhaps itâs something to think about. All in all we did have a nice week because we just wanted a rest , if the sofa area was sorted and the TV then we would come back again for perhaps a late break.
