Snaptrip says

Guests generally enjoy the spacious, well-equipped lodge with a hot tub, set in a peaceful location ideal for exploring the Lakes and Morecambe Bay. The property offers a homely feel and is appreciated for its cleanliness, though some minor maintenance issues are noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge is often described as clean and tidy, with several guests praising its condition. However, there are a few mentions of areas that could benefit from deeper cleaning, and some concerns about pet hair and cleanliness in specific areas, slightly lowering the score.

The location is frequently highlighted as great, with its quiet setting and proximity to local attractions. It's deemed perfect for visiting the Lakes and seaside, with a peaceful site that guests find appealing. The lack of nearby supermarkets and difficulty in finding the lodge are minor drawbacks.

Comfort is generally well-received, with the lodge being spacious and the beds comfortable for most. However, there are comments about uncomfortable mattresses and a small second bedroom, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities like the hot tub and kitchen equipment are well-liked, but several reviews mention broken or poorly maintained items such as toilet seats, blinds, and a shaky washing machine. The maintenance issues affect the overall experience, leading to a moderate score.

The owner's responsiveness and gestures like leaving chocolates and fizz are well-received, indicating thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, may not be a consistent experience for all guests.

    Perfect for a short stay.

The blind in the twin room is broken and overall cleanliness isn’t great. That said, we enjoyed our stay and the kids particularly loved the hot tub.

Unfortunately we figured out that the pipes had frozen up so we had no water (luckily we had the hot tub) owner came down quickly and gave us alternatives, it was of course no fault of his own and we really wanted to stay with the hot tub so he had a plumber sort the pipes the next morning. Owner came with water bottles for us, he also kindly gifted my boyfriend some rum while we were out! It was a lovely and cozy stay overall, didn’t want to leave! Easy check in and out! The owner handled everything so well! Can’t wait to visit again :)
