Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and well-kept. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment contributes positively to the overall experience.

The location is highly regarded for its beauty and proximity to local attractions and amenities. It serves as a great base for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to shops and restaurants. The peaceful setting by the lake is also frequently mentioned.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests frequently mentioning the cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and homely touches. The lodge is described as a 'home from home', although there are a couple of mentions of a tired sofa, suggesting a slight room for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the lodge being well-equipped and the on-site restaurant and bar being appreciated. However, there are comments about the lack of a shop on-site, occasional closure of facilities, and minor maintenance issues like a broken blind, which slightly lower the score.

Guests often mention the thoughtful extras that make their stay special, such as Christmas decorations and a welcoming atmosphere. While these personal touches are highly valued, it is noted that such gestures are a bonus and may vary with each stay.

Seating felt really low to sit down on and then you sank a little more once seated; customers with knee issues( like myself) found it hard to get up.
