Was hard to find as sat nav took us to big green house ,Pendle stables, but it was next private road along. You can't really see the sign til you're on top of it and at night there is no lights just a small red reflector on post . Few lovely pub restaurants nearby and lovely villages to visit. Before arriving at property, we had a call to say oven door was broken (Saturday) that was fixed but Monday and they had provided an air fryer . There was no washing machine available. Although they have two ground floor bedrooms they had a big step going into them which was difficult for me and my mum to access , being disabled. They did come quick with a couple of wheelchair ramps but they weren't ideal as we needed to use as extra step. So they were folded but unstable, so my husband went out and bought a couple of blocks for us to use instead . My mum and I rarely used living room because there were two big steps into that . For any able bodied persons the house was great . Just need to be aware that it's not accessible for disabled. They toilet next to living room was blocked , we did make them aware of this but wasn't sorted, as I said we aren't using it anyway . The others enjoyed using the pool table upstairs. And my 4yr old also enjoyed the play area outside . Although there were a few little issues to deal with during our stay , we did enjoy our time there . We saw the owner the day oven was being sorted and had a nice chat. I would recommend staying at grains barn . Just need to be aware that the ground floor is not accessible for disabled .

The house is absolutley beautiful. The only thing I would mention that needs improvement is the cooking facilities, the oven is not great and took a long time to make chips, we were planning on cooking a Sunday roast but decided against it after realising the oven and induction hob took so long to cook food, same with the microwave, and you would benefit from having a larger toaster instead of a 2 toast toaster. Also the bath, the cold water doesn't run into the bath, it just drips all over the floor. This is only constructive criticism, everything else was absolutley perfect and the house has been done to a high standard, beds are extremely comfy and warm, the pool table is a bonus! The fire is amazing, very spacious property, kids loved the park at the back, and the views are second to none. Don't hesitate to book, you'll be blown away. We will 100% come back.
