Located in the heart of rural farmland above the ancient market town of Sedbergh, Gateside Farmhouse enjoys excellent views from all windows of the Howgill range. Sedbergh itself is two and a half miles away, an enjoyable walk and has an excellent selection of cafes and book shops, the town being the first ’book’ town in the UK.
Set on a very quiet working farm, Gateside Farmhouse has undergone a major renovation and now offers excellent, quality accommodation for up to 10. The rooms are light and spacious and, laid out on three floors, the property offers flexible living space for a large family gathering or a group of walkers or cyclists. A small welcome pack is provided by the owners, so you can look forward to a decent cuppa after a long journey. The property is on a national cycle route.

Beautiful cottage, with lovely surroundings. The place was a great size, well equipped and we all felt very at home. We had trouble with the heating but the owner very kindly came and fixed this pretty much immediately. We would book this place again. Thank you for a nice stay!
