The rolling landscape and bubbling brooks of the Eden Valley create one of the most beautiful landscapes in Northern England, and a stay at Todd Hills Hall Farmhouse puts you right at the heart of this magical region. There are walks right from the front door, and views from this comfortable and superbly appointed sandstone farmhouse stretch in all directions.
The owners have furnished the farm house to an extremely high standard, with six en-suite bedrooms, two wood burning stoves and an Aga as well as a side-by-side fridge in the kitchen. The dining room table even converts to a half size snooker table, so you can all enjoy an evening or two polishing up your potting skills. The chances are though you’ll end up in the kitchen, with the cosy Aga, granite topped island and wood burning stove as the perfect backdrop to sit and chat.
The closest village is Melmerby, which has a welcoming pub, a village shop and a tea room. There’s even an indoor pool in the village, so you don’t need to go far for your exercise. Further beyond Melmerby is the beautiful and sinuous Ullswater Lake with its historic steamer boats, glorious walks and of course, swathes of the daffodils that inspired the poet William Wordsworth. This is an outdoor lover’s paradise, and there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy everything from sailing to pony trekking during your stay.
Adjoining Todd Hills Hall Farmhouse is Gill Beck Barn (sleeping 6 guests) These properties can be booked individually or together to sleep 20 guests. Todd Hills & Vale Croft (sleeping 2 further guests) can be booked together to sleep 14 guests.

Beautiful house with fantastic views. Great location for exploring the Lake District and The Pennines. Perfect layout for big groups - lots of en suites. Incredibly well-equipped kitchen and secure garden for dogs and children. Extremely helpful hosts who sorted out a plumber when required very fast and efficiently. The only reason I've given 4 stars rather than 5 is there was the odd slight niggle - the heating wasn't working properly in some rooms, one of the showers was too hot to use and another wasn't quite hot enough, tumble dryer didn't really work either. The look of the rooms could be improved a lot with some pictures on the walls too. Overall, though, great holiday and would definitely recommend this house.

Todd Hill Hall Farm is a beautiful building that has been renovated to 5 star opulence. Set with views over the Cumbrian countryside, it really is something special. All the bedrooms are decorated & furnished to a very high standard. As for the kitchen, it’s every cooks dream. With two open fires and a snooker table, you really couldn’t as for more; unless you need a wine fridge - yep one of those is included too! I can not recommend the Farm enough & alongside great customer service, I will be returning for another stay.
