Peacefully located in the most amazing setting, this outstanding holiday home is set in 4 acres of grounds and overlooks a small lake. The single storey property has been furnished and equipped to a good standard and is tucked away down a country lane in the beautiful Eden Valley. An abundance of wildlife is attracted to the water and the view through the large glass windows from the living room across the lake is delightful. There are seating areas dotted around the lake for relaxing and viewing. Nearby is the traditional market town of Kirkby Stephen, which was the first town in Cumbria to be accredited with ’Walkers are Welcome’. There are many walking and cycling opportunities in the area, plus the famous and scenic Settle to Carlisle railway line runs through Kirkby Stephen. The Eden Valley is perfectly placed for touring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Teasdale and Durham, Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish border. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

We love quiet country locations so swallows nest was our heaven! Our friends joined us and the ages of us was 82 to 88 we found the steps (2) needed a little bit difficult for some of us (perhaps a handrail on one of the two flights of steps?) once we were in the interior was excellent for us oldies ! We had a wet cold wind week so could not sit out much and enjoy the beautiful lake and garden but all four of us enjoyed our stay!Bob ,Jean ,Trevor and Sue.

Absolutely beautiful The photos really don’t do the property justice It’s so quiet , and quaint. Has everything you need. Watching the sheep and wildlife over breakfast was amazing.The little touches for Easter were lovely and we appreciated the card and chocolates. Would 100% return and highly recommend
