Conveniently situated in the centre of Kirkby Stephen, with its beautiful stone exterior, is Bay Leaf Cottage. With rolling fellsides behind, and the ‘Cathedral of the Dales’ nearby, the cottage is a lovely country retreat. This semi-detached cottage boasts a fabulous layout inside, with two sitting rooms and a large, bright kitchen/diner sweeping across the ground floor to form a flowing open-plan living space.
This quality getaway retains many of its original features and added character, with window seats, exposed stone and beams, alcoves and flagstone flooring. From the entrance hall, into the first lounge to the left, behold the stylish choice of furniture inviting you to relax and unwind.
Wander through to the open, spacious kitchen, which boasts a large dining area and considered lighting, uplifting a modern choice of fittings. Use the cosy snug room for watching TV with the family and play your favourite tunes from the sound bar. Enjoy the choice of DVDs and games available for you to use. Take the stairs to the landing, where three bedrooms have been thoughtfully put together, with luxurious bedding and ample storage space.
The spacious master bedroom overlooks the stunning gardens across from the front of the cottage; sit and enjoy the views from the comfortable armchair. The large family bathroom enjoys a lavish double bathtub and rainfall shower, along with a traditional pine 4 person sauna with sound system; great for relaxing after a day exploring the nearby National Parks.
In addition to this stunning interior is a delightful, walled garden outside with a private patio sitting area to soak up a balmy afternoon in Kirkby Stephen.
This thriving market town offers pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from, as well as the old railway station, which connects to the Settle-Carlisle Railway line - a must-do travel experience!
Enjoy walking and cycling, and explore this wonderful region on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Park.

Enjoy many walks and cycle routes nearby and explore the Howgill Fells or visit the Pendragon Castle and Brough Castle.
