Greystones is a charming and well-equipped cottage in a picturesque village setting, praised for its comfortable beds, cosy atmosphere, and beautiful views. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches for both humans and dogs, the secure garden, and the abundance of local walks and nearby pubs. While a few minor issues were noted, such as occasional maintenance concerns and construction noise from a neighbouring property, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Guests generally found the cottage clean and well-presented, with high-quality bed linen and towels. One review mentioned out-of-date biscuits in the welcome pack, but no significant cleanliness issues were raised.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and proximity to scenic walks and local pubs. The only minor drawback mentioned is the lack of a village shop, but this did not detract from guests' enjoyment.

The cottage is described as cosy, with comfortable beds and sofas. Guests enjoyed the log burner and hot, powerful shower. A few noted the main bedroom's uneven floor and a cramped bathroom, but overall comfort was rated highly.

The property is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, utility room, and thoughtful extras like a summerhouse and BBQ. Some minor issues were noted, such as a leaking shower screen, log burner out of action, and heating instructions, but these did not significantly impact the overall experience.

Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches, including welcome packs, treats for both humans and dogs, and local information. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Cottage was lovely but should have been warned of refurbishment next door which spoilt the whole holiday

We were staying at Greystones to join a big birthday celebration weekend with friends at Elm Lodge. 4 adults, 2 dogs appreciated the cottage. Quirky cottage with comfy beds, cosy warmth, plenty of hot water for numerous showers, great little garden to enable the dogs to be outside for cups of tea, compact well equipped galley kitchen and biju toilet, great utility room to feed the dogs (thanks for the doggy treats). Brilliant guest book , with local walks of different lengths from the door (we walked to the viaduct and another in our party did a hill run). Managed to get to both pubs - Black Swan for a pint outside and Kings Head for a meal - rate them both. Lucky enough to get a parking space outside the cottage.Just two suggestions - let people know where the 2nd set of keys are (the owners were super helpful) and we think you could squeeze in a second comfy armchair, rather than the church pew to seat 4. Fab and would totally recommend.
