As you drive though the barrier at Blenkett Wood Lodge Park, you are greeted by peace and tranquillity, nestling in 15 acres of ancient woodland there are plenty of places to enjoy woodland adventures. Westmorland Lodge has been built to a very high standard and whether you are enjoying the wood burner after a busy day or soaking away the day’s stresses in the hot tub, you are sure of a relaxing break. The open plan design gives a feeling of space. The living room, dining room and kitchen are combined. The sociable breakfast area is the ideal social hub. The master bedroom offers a double bed, 32" Freesat TV and en suite with shower cubicle and toilet.
The second bedroom offers twin beds and 32" Freesat TV. The family bathroom comprises of a shower and a bath, perfect for a soak in the bubbles after a long day of adventure. It is perfectly placed just a short walk from the Cambrian Coastal Way where guests can access and explore some beautiful walks or take the short walk to Humphrey Head to discover a lovely coastal walk.. Allithwaite has a great local pub serving good food and local ales which is located just 150 yards from the entrance to the park. It also has a small village shop and post office.
Just 2 miles to the east you’ll find the popular seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands with a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and lovely walks both along the seafront and also around the parks. If you fancy a round of golf, the golf course is just 3 miles away. To the north you’ll reach the southern tip of Lake Windermere in just 8 miles; here you can take a ride on the Haverthwaite Steam Railway which connects seamlessly to the famous steamers on Lake Windermere offering pleasure rides to Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside daily. If you like outdoor adventure, you’ll find amazing scenery and some beautiful fell walks within a few miles, whilst to the east, the popular town of Ulverston and the Laurel and Hardy Museum is well worth a visit.
