Pembroke is an inviting, three-bedroom bungalow situated a short walk into the market square of Cartmel, Cumbria. This contemporary property offers a wonderful setting, nestled near the Lake District National Park, whilst a short distance from a hub of attractions, shops, and eateries, making it a wonderful base for couples and small groups Benefit from a private driveway upon your arrival, where you can unload your belongings with ease, before stepping indoors, storing your boots and coats in the hallway. Make your way to the open-plan living space, a hub for socialising, complete with a fully-equipped kitchen with a charming AGA, a dedicated dining area, and a plush corner sofa, resting in front of the woodburning stove.

If the weather allows, make the most of the enclosed garden and dine alfresco over a bottle of wine, with lovely rural views to the rear of the home. When sleep calls, select between a stylish king-size with a sleek en-suite bathroom, a further king-size bedroom or a beautiful single bedroom serviced by a contemporary shower room. The village of Cartmel is a wonderful place to explore; take a stroll through the cobbled streets, visit the quaint independent shops, sample the local ale in the pubs, or some of the delicious food at L'Enclume, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant, and Rogan and Co, offering seasonal, British fare; a haven for foodies.

Cartmel Racecourse and Cartmel Priory are also worth a visit, before sampling the local delicacies of the sticky toffee pudding! Head just a few miles down the road to the Victorian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands; here you can take a leisurely walk along the promenade, explore the stunning Lakeland scenery, and visit the many art galleries, tearooms, and clothing boutiques. Take a little more of a drive and you’ll arrive in Bowness on Windermere, the most popular resort on Lake Windermere, where you can enjoy a picnic along the shores of the lake, admire the spectacular views of the Lakeland Fells, or take a cruise on Lake Windermere itself.

The historic, South Lakeland village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District. The Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England, remains the heart of the community with its gatehouse forming the entrance to the village. The village features pretty streamside walks, quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, a charming gift shop, welcoming, traditional pubs serving real ale, the nationally acclaimed, Michelin Star awarded L'Enclume restaurant, and the Cartmel Village shop, which sells the famous sticky toffee pudding. Take advantage of excellent walking opportunities amidst beautiful, unspoilt countryside, visit Cartmel Racecourse, Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall with its spectacular gardens, all of which are close by. The quiet seaside retreat of Grange-over-Sands, with its Edwardian buildings and mountain backdrop, is a mere 2 miles away, whilst Windermere, with its panoramic views over England's longest lake, is within a thirty minute drive. Note: This property has a level driveway, level access to the garden from the driveway and throughout the garden, shallow access ramps over the front door threshold and is all on one level making it suitable for wheelchair users.

Note: There are steps outside the doors at the rear of the house.

Note: No children under 11 years old, due to the pond.

Note: Single bedroom has a ground floor fire escape window (sill at 1m and handle at 1.5m) and should only be occupied by someone able to open and escape through such a window unaided.

Note: Hoist users should bring their own sling, both two point and four point hoist bar available, shower chair available on request, front door 83cm wide and internal doors 73.5cm, the main bedroom and en-suite are suitable for wheelchair users, the other two bedrooms are not.

    Absolutely spotless, so spacious and warm. Lovely welcome basket on our arrival which was really handy, coffee, milk, tea, biscuits and fizz!!! thank you. The cottage is in a great location straight into the village. Great size fridge and 3 drawer freezer, always handy to know as i always have a shopping delivery to the cottages we stay at. If you want to know more i'm happy to help x
