Cark is a stop on the Furness railway, and visitors to the village will enjoy a stroll to the local beach, or a quiet pint in one of the two friendly pubs. Holker Hall house and deer park are just a short walk from Cark. Cartmel is renowned for its racecourse, and the town is well served with a selection of shops, traditional pubs and a Michelin starred restaurant. There is so much to enjoy in the area, from country walks to boat trips on Windermere or a trip to the seaside resort of Grange over Sands. A great Lakeland base for your holiday.

It was clean and instructions for everything were clear. The kitchen had many tool to enable self catering food to be prepared. The location was peaceful and beautiful. I would recommend this property.

Well decorated with pleasant grounds in a quiet village well situated for a holiday in the Cartmel peninsula and south lakes. It was only a short break and the weather was poor but I would definitely go again. The only downside was that I couldnât get the tv to work but it didnât really bother me on a short stay and there was a contact number for help which I didnât use but could have done had I chosen to. Lovely friendly next door neighbour in flat 1 who helped me in with my luggage. Highly recommended for a peaceful relaxing break
