This Grange-over-Sands apartment sits in an elevated position and is perfect for a couple wishing to spend time together in an area known for its gentle climate and close proximity to the Lake District. All on the first floor, this apartment in Grange-over-Sands has one double bedroom and a light and airy sitting room with a Juliet balcony looking out across to the Kent Viaduct and Arnside Knott on the Lancashire coast.
Outside this Grange-over-Sands apartment there is a delightful garden, so no matter what time of day it is, you can sit outside, perhaps enjoying some of the local produce sold by the many excellent specialist food shops in the town. The colourful town centre of Grange-over-Sands can be reached within a short downhill walk, with a steep incline on the return journey, and has a lovely promenade area with fine gardens and a traditional bandstand. Cartmel, home of the sticky toffee pudding, is a short drive away and has a beautiful medieval priory, excellent restaurants and a stream running through the centre, complete with ducks.

Situated in the southern Lake District and just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is the small village of Lindale. With a true 'Lakeland feel', due to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs, this charming village is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell. The coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are worth a visit, whilst the pretty town of Cartmel - with its famous annual horse race meetings - offers plenty to see. Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead are only a short drive away and still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many visitors. The fabulous countryside which surrounds Lindale also provides exceptional walking and cycling opportunities.

Itâs a great base for various walks, closeness to train station and convenience of supermarkets, pubs and local shops. Walking up from the town requires a reasonable fitness but there are benches along the way to rest if necessary. Being higher up meant we had a distant view of the bay beyond the rooftops from the huge windows of lounge and kitchen. A real bonus! Would stay again if time permitted. There is no washing machine and no WiFi which in the end didnât spoil our holiday. Mobile signal was patchy but we were lucky not to have had an emergency. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Of course this great view is available only because one is on the hillside. But my sister and I are 74 and we managed the walk up and down teh hill quite easily. We found Grange over Sands to be a delightful little place. there is a lovely walk along the esplanade - all on the flat: but for the adventurous there is a great hike up to Hampsfell Hospice, which is not too strenuous. The apartment itself is generally well equipped. It has a new kitchen and the bathroom is comapct but a good shower once the temperature has settled. The bed is uncomfortable, as one is very aware of the springs,, but otherwise we were very satisfied with everything.
