Situated a little over 9 miles away is Newby Bridge, where the southernmost point of Lake Windermere reaches towards the village of Lakeside, home to Windermere Lake Cruises (10 miles). For a touch of nostalgia, visitors have the opportunity to relive the past by indulging in a steam train journey from Newby Bridge to Haverthwaite, 7 miles distant from the charming cottage. Head 14 miles to visit the popular Cartmel Racecourse. Stepping into the cottage, you are welcome to kick off your muddy boots and hang your coats in the porch before entering the spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Enjoy the panoramic views from the floor to ceiling patio doors whilst cosying up in front of the wood burner, or why not spend an evening catching up on your favourite series on the Smart TV? Breakfast can be enjoyed from the island whilst the chef of the house makes use of the amenities, amply supplied with everything you need for your self catering stay.
