The Cottage is so comfortable and tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard. The beds can be described in comparison to the TV ad, where they say 'a good nights sleep is Guaranteed'. Sooo Comfortable. We were treated to a welcome pack including tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge, so very thoughtful. The location is great for exploring the south part of the Lake District with Cartmel only a short drive away, and easy reach for a trip to Bowness on Windermere, Kendal and Ulverston. Grange over Sands is even closer with lovely views over to Morecombe Bay. Unfortunately the weather was not great with only one really nice day but what a treat it was sitting out on the patio in the late afternoon sunshine where I dozed off listening to the beautiful song of the Blackbird, and the gentle coo of the Wood Pigeon, the chattering of the Finches and then awaking to the gentle ra-ta-ta-tap of the Woodpecker in the distance. The friendly local store is two minutes walk away and is very well stocked and the Engine Inn is well worth a visit. Jenny's Cottage has got everything you could ask for, a great location and well worth a look.
