With a cosy wood burning stove and large lawned garden, Southwaite Hill Cottage is the perfect base for a family to explore the delights of Cumbria, being just off the M6, midway between Carlisle and Penrith, the northern Lakes, Hadrian's Wall and Eden Valley are all within a short drive.

Southwaite is a small hamlet 8 miles south of the historic border city of Carlisle and 10 miles north of Penrith. Conveniently located just off the M6, visitors can explore the northern Lake District, Eden Valley, Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders making this an ideal base from which to see the sights Cumbria has to offer. The neighbouring village of Low Hesket has a pub and Southwaite Service Station has a café, restaurant and M&S food hall.

Southwaite Hill Cottage is a newly refurbished country cottage, part of a small rural development ¾ mile east of Southwaite and 2 miles east of Calthwaite. The cottage provides cosy accommodation equally suited to couples or a small party with the advantage of a ground floor twin bedroom.
