Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers unanimously commend the studio for its spotless condition, with many emphasising the cleanliness as a standout feature. The consistent mention of the property's immaculate state across reviews supports a high score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the Lake District, Pennines, and Southern Scotland, with guests appreciating the panoramic views and accessibility. While the nearby A6 is noted, it does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the studio very comfortable and well-maintained. The spacious layout and quality of the furnishings contribute to a high level of satisfaction.

The studio is lauded for its well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and overall high standard of facilities. The presence of a private garden and outdoor furniture adds to the appeal. A slight deduction is made due to a single mention of shower pressure.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is a highlight, with the welcome hamper being a much-appreciated gesture. While such gifts are warmly received, it is noted that they are a gracious addition by the hosts and may vary.

About this property

The Studio - Charonini is a stylish, studio-style apartment surrounded by countryside in Plumpton near Penrith, Cumbria. With open-plan living, plenty of outdoor space and easy access to both the Lake District and North Pennines, this pet-friendly apartment offers a romantic getaway. There are two parking spaces, one off-road and another in the garage, along with bike storage for those travelling for an outdoor adventure. Climb the steps to your home-from-home where a thoughtfully decorated, open-plan space awaits; settle into the contemporary kitchen with marble countertops to rustle up a home-cooked meal for your other half, to be served at the breakfast bar for two. The space is filled with natural light to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book, whilst evenings can be spent watching the Smart TV. With uninterrupted views of the countryside, step out onto the sheltered patio with a cold glass of wine, or why not make use of the gas barbecue out on the elevated patio. Time it right and you'll dine with the sunset, whilst your furry friend is welcome to stretch out on the lawn. After busy days trekking the Lake District, return for a hot shower in the shower room before getting ready for bed. A sumptuous king-size is tucked away in the corner where you'll wake up to those idyllic, rural views from the picture window opposite. Start your holiday by exploring the lovely town of Penrith, with plenty of shops and eateries for your self-catering stay, as well as historic attractions such as the ruins of Penrith Castle, Penrith and Eden Museum and the curious passages of the nearby Brougham Castle. If you seek the great outdoors, take a short drive into the Lake District; the likes of Pooley Bridge on the shores of Ullswater and Keswick along Derwentwater are two popular locations for picturesque walks and attractions, including Keswick's Theatre By The Lake for a romantic evening! To the east you'll also have the North Pennines to climb the nearby Cross Fell, the area's highest peak, Ashgill Force and the Pennine Way, England's first National Trail. Alternatively, spend the day in Carlisle along the Scottish Border, with so much history on offer; Carlisle Castle and Cathedral are spectacular sites, whilst Hadrian's Wall isn't far to walk along the ancient fort ruins. Escape to Cumbria's countryside with your other half at The Studio - Charonini.

The lively market town of Penrith, originally the capital of Cumbria, is centrally located between the Lake District and the North Pennines, making it ideal for exploring the region's attractions. Penrith's sandstone houses hide intriguing yards, roads, and alleyways, with a plethora of lovely cottages, gardens, and small stores, and is known for its wealth of specialised shops. Penrith provides a museum and Millennium Trails around the old city streets, as well as a large range of superb pubs, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment.

spotless and friendly welcome. Only 1 thing i could possibly pull up was the shower. No pressure. Other than this we had an amazing few days of peace and quiet and we will be returning in the warmer months.

Loved the studio and thoroughly enjoyed our stay The hosts were so friendly and helpful we could not have asked for anything more The welcome basket was such a lovely idea and much appreciated as we didn’t have to go out for the essentials when we arrived It’s a gem of a find and we hope to get back soon
