There are many rural walks giving you the opportunity to see the Eden Valley from different viewpoints, and is within easy access to the Lake District.
Mallard House Lodge provides the perfect location for exploring the Lake District and the North Pennines. Located in Culgaith, this studding lodge with larch wood cladding is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
Enter into the attractive open-plan sitting and kitchen area; the sitting area boasts beautiful views of the surrounding countryside to enjoy whilst sitting in front of the Everhot electric stove. The dining area has a table and chairs for both guests to enjoy a lovely home cooked meal prepared in the modern kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you could possibly need, from an electric oven to a Hotel Chocolat velvetiser. The style from the open-plan living area follows through the lodge into the bedroom, providing the cosiest space to wind down after a day exploring the pretty village of Culgaith or the Lake District. From the sitting room, wander out onto the decking which is surrounded by countryside views and houses the private hot tub where you can soothe and rejuvenate, ready for a new day .

Lovely property with great views and everything you could need for a relaxing break. Good location for visiting the lakes and the hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of the day. The lodge is spotlessly clean and the welcome pack of goodies from the hosts was a nice touch.
