Snaptrip says

Fellside View is a cosy and comfortable apartment in Penrith, praised for its homely touches, good heating, and convenient location for exploring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, powerful shower, and the provision of dog biscuits, though some noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. While some found the apartment to be clean and comfortable, others reported the need to clean dishes and toilet seats upon arrival, and some mentioned a musty smell and dead flies. The variance in experiences suggests room for improvement.

The location is highly regarded for its proximity to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, offering great walks and easy motorway links. The peaceful setting and beautiful views are frequently mentioned, although the closure of a nearby pub disappointed one guest.

Many guests found the apartment comfortable, highlighting the quality of the bed and the warmth of the property. However, some guests mentioned issues with the sofa and mattress preferences, indicating that while comfort is generally good, there is some inconsistency.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and smart TV being positives. However, concerns about hot water supply, heating in the bathroom, and maintenance issues like a broken drawer and bathroom plug detract from the overall experience.

The provision of dog biscuits, tea bags, and games indicates thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, they should be considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation for future guests.

Being extremely honest, the places had a bit of a musty smell & was a little damp on arrival. However, within hours the place was nice & cosy & we had a comfortable week there & eventually got use to the strange smell. Our party consisted of myself (limited mobility), mum & aunt (age range 59 to 83), plus 3 dogs (2 retired medical alert dogs & one fully trained working disability assistance dog). Although the place is not advertised as accessible, I would like to add a note regarding this for anyone elderly or with mobility issues: the flat is all on ground floor & easy to get around if able to walk a few steps & not limited to full wheelchair use. Car parking area is fine for normal vehicles, & close to main entrance, but not ideal if wheelchair access is needed for a chair using an hoist as parking area is uneven. Parking in front of the main entrance & unloading the wheelchair was much easier & entrance into the flat is accessible (doors need opening in advance by a member of your party as they are quite heavy & there is a small step on entry). There are no wheelchair walks suitable from the flat, so please don’t think it’s a place to stay if you are a wheelchair user & intend going down to the local pub in you chair as accessible footpaths are very limited. I know this flat is not listed as accessible, & I went with full knowledge of limited accessibility, so these comments are just for other users who are looking for possible places to stay when unable to find fully accessible holiday lets. We did have an issue with the hot water whilst there, plus the bedroom heater wasn’t working, but the owner was always available to talk with & is very helpful. Note: these issues were being rectified by the owner on the day we left. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay at Fellside View & it was a great base. There was plenty of space to put down three dog beds in the living room & having the kitchen area combined with the living room, worked out really well for us. There was tea & coffee provided on the side for us on arrival as well as various cleaning products in the cupboard under the sink…the dogs loved their doggy treats
