We had a great break away exploring the area in particular Ashgill force. Just a few notes on leaving - we accidentally broke a dish when washing up. The cutlery draw is also dropping when opened and looked like a screw was missing , the door to the second lounge room from the living room has a loose door knob and the shower squeegee broke when we were using it. Again no complaints, the home is so well presented and we adored a fire and of course the views. Kind regards Karen

In fact I am looking for the summer to stay over again. The cottage was clean and tidy the view from the living room was amazing we watched the snow falls on the hills! The only things I have to mention is that the hand book needs updating as I was looking for a code to scan and notice it was when we had Covid. Also there wasn’t enough bin bags or even that blue ones. I wasn’t keen on that mattress hurt my back a little due to struggling to move about as you sink into it.

. This was Christmas Eve, so no likelihood for it being removed. The Woodburner was left unchecked and found to have wet cloths and newspapers, wet wood, and rubbish left in it with water in the bottom, leaving it inoperable and and eyesore. The owner was contacted on Christmas Day in the Evening as it was very cold, and adjusted the central heating system and offered a refund..At no point did the owner apologise for all the problems we had with this situation.. Our cottage Christmas experience was totally ruined… Since arriving home and contacting Sykes, I regret I am no further forward … I feel that your customer care policy is extremely Lack Lustre and the problem has yet to be resolved…!
