Guests say

Station House in St Bees is a charming and spacious cottage, ideally located next to the train station and within easy walking distance of the beach and village amenities. Guests praise its unique character, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. The property is generally clean and homely, with a welcoming atmosphere. Some areas, particularly the garden and certain facilities, could benefit from maintenance and updates. Occasional thoughtful touches from the host have been appreciated. Overall, Station House offers a delightful base for exploring the area, especially for families and train enthusiasts.

Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and well-maintained interiors. However, some noted minor issues such as cobwebs, pastry flakes in drawers, and a dirty shower mat. The outside areas and some kitchen items could be cleaner.

The location is highly praised, being close to the train station, village pubs, shops, and a short walk to the beach. The proximity to local attractions and transport links is a significant positive.

Guests generally found the cottage spacious and the beds comfortable, with ample room for families and pets. Some mentioned the need for new pillows and mattress protectors, but overall comfort levels were good.

The cottage is well-equipped, but several guests noted issues such as a non-functioning or missing microwave, limited cutlery, and a tired garden area. Some maintenance is needed, particularly outside and with certain appliances.

A few guests mentioned a warm welcome and treats on arrival, which were appreciated. However, as these gestures are not consistently mentioned, they cannot be guaranteed for all stays.

Great location, perfect for local pubs, shop and seafront.Well equiped kitchen. Good shower in the bathroom.Comfortable beds, pillows could do with replacing.Plenty of room for 4 people (and 2 dogs).Externally the property is tired and needs tidying, the upper patio area is very nice however the garden was well overgrown and unusable - not ideal for dogs or children. Gate definitely needs repairing as is difficult to open.

The station house is a lovely property, very spacious and comfortable. St Bees is a delightful location and the property is close to the station and a ten minute flat walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. Our one isue was on the last day when the key to the porch stuck in the lock! Fortunately we were able to secure the main door and inform the host of the situation immediately via the app Thank you for a very pleasant stay
