We descended upon Rushgill House in the height of a massive rainstorm complete with our 3 sheepdogs and elderly terrier. The house opened its arms and welcomed us in and made us feel very at home straight away. We loved the rusticity and simple comfortable style of the house - it felt like home. Whilst extremely homely and comfortable, it might not be as luxurious as some properties, but for us, it was simply perfect! Patrick the farmer who comes every day was amazingly hospitable and regaled us with some wonderful stories of the house and its past. We loved having his ponies around and he was so helpful in letting us have some extra firewood for the already plentiful supply as well as being our welcoming committee every morning when he came to feed the ponies! Matt was also an incredibly hospitable and helpful host. We shall be back hopefully at some point!
