Enjoy a stay in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a rural location near the World Heritage Site of Hadrian s Wall the largest Roman monument in Europe. Situated between the Pennines, the Lake District and the Solway Coast, this location is a paradise for walkers. The pretty village of Brampton is 4 miles away with independent shops, restaurants, and a farmers market which is usually held on the last Saturday of every month. Visit the Roman ruins at Birdoswald or enjoy a walk around Talkin Tarn Country Park at Gelt Woods, both under 10 miles away. Take a rowing boat on the water at Talkin and enjoy an ice cream at the coffee shop while taking in the views. The area is steeped in history, you can visit Lanercost Priory and Naworth Castle, both within 7 miles. As you enter this pretty, single storey cottage you will find yourself in the welcoming open plan lounge/kitchen. With high ceilings, exposed beams and a cosy wood burner, this cottage offers a fantastic base to relax after a day out exploring. The lounge has a comfy L shaped sofa in front of the wood burner and Smart TV to catch up on your favourite series. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, washing machine, and fridge with an ice compartment. Plus there is a breakfast bar area to enjoy a homecooked meal. There are two bedrooms off the living area, a double, and a bunk bedroom which is suitable for all ages. Both rooms are bright and spacious. There is also a family shower room with a shower and WC. From the kitchen/lounge area there is access to a private, enclosed gravel courtyard that has seating. This space is a real suntrap to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a morning coffee. There is also an enclosed front garden overlooking the fields where you can watch local wildlife and birds in the hedgerows. There is private parking for two cars at the side of the road outside the cottage. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 bunk bedroom. 1 shower room with WC.
