Situated in the pretty market town of Brampton with its independent shops, restaurants and farmer s market which is usually held on the last Saturday of every month. The local area has lots to offer for a lovely walk, visit Talkin Tarn and enjoy a rowing boat on the water and ice cream or coffee after a walk around the lake. The area is steeped in history with Lanercost Priory just a few miles away, Naworth Castle and Birdoswald Roman Fort are also well worth a visit. The Lake District National Park and the Northern Pennines are both a short drive away. If you fancy a day of retail therapy, why not jump on a train from the local railway station to Carlisle or Newcastle for the day. This beautifully restored house has the perfect mix of old and new, with lots of original features along with unique contemporary styling throughout. As you walk through the front door into the impressive hallway you cannot miss the staircase and large stained glass window. You will find the house flows perfectly, offering you a fabulous social space to enjoy time with family and friends. The formal dining room which opens into the large kitchen is to your left off the hallway. The dining room has a marble fireplace with a feature electric wood burner effect fire. A large formal dining table, offering a special setting to enjoy a special celebration or event. The kitchen is open plan from the dining room, it is well equipped with an electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and small informal dining area. There are large French doors that overlook and open out onto the Italian styled square, you can sit outside and enjoy a coffee in the morning or dine alfresco on a nice evening and on a sunny day this room and outside space gives you a feel of the Mediterranean. From the kitchen, you will find yourself in the utility room which features a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. From the utility room, you will find yourself in a useful lobby area which is also accessed from the rear entrance. It offers lots of storage for coats and boots and has plenty of space for your four legged friends beds. There is also a separate WC off the lobby. From the lobby you will find yourself back into the hallway, to the left you will find the traditional panelled lounge, known as the cocktail lounge. It is very atmospheric and has comfy seating and an electric effect fire. From here you will walk through into the main lounge which has an impressive fireplace, electric fire, Smart TV and ample seating to catch up after a day out exploring or watch a movie on your Netflix account. As you leave this room you will find yourself back at the front door in the main hallway. Head up the sweeping staircase, you will find a spacious landing with seating on the first floor. There are four individually designed bedrooms, two spacious king size bedrooms, a smaller pretty double bedroom and a master en suite bedroom with a feature mahogany king size four poster bed. This bed really does have the wow factor and offers a step back in history. The en suite has a French style bath with a handheld shower and WC. There is also a bathroom on the first floor with his and her sinks, an eye catching double ended freestanding bath and a large shower. There is gravel enclosed Italian styled courtyard/square with lovely seating to the side of the property, accessed from the kitchen. There is private parking for up to three cars to the side of the house on the drive.
