This was the only property I could find when I was looking to book that stated it had 5 beds. Due to our party requirements we ideal need the 5 beds, so booked the property because of this. Unfortunately on our arrival the twin room turned out to be a single bed! This meant that there were only 4 actual beds not 5. We got round the problem by my sister sharing a double with her daughter but obviously this wasn’t ideal and wasn’t what I thought we were booking. Going forward I would suggest changing the description on the website to 3 double rooms and a single, just to make it clear. Other than this, we had a lovely stay at Eastwood. The cottage was very clean, and the housekeeper was very helpful, when we had a small issue with the heating which was sorted immediately. It was a very peaceful location and provided the time together we needed as a family.

Unfortunately due to the only table in the house being in the conservatory it was freezing and there were around 5 different leaks coming through the ceiling, 2 of these leaks were dripping on the actual table itself. Such a shame!

The house is well equipped and lovingly designed. Although it’s still quite a drive to the northern parts of the national park, there was plenty to do and see locally, or within an hour. We had some lovely meals at the Farmer’s Arms in Baycliff.
