Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the warm welcome provided by the owners. Its location is ideal for exploring Chester, Liverpool, and the Welsh countryside. Most guests found The Lodge to be very clean, with only a few mentioning dust and spider webs. The overall impression is that the property is well-maintained in terms of cleanliness.
The location is frequently praised for its peacefulness and convenience for exploring nearby attractions such as Chester, Liverpool, and North Wales. The scenic views and quiet farm setting contribute to a positive experience.
Guests generally find The Lodge comfortable, particularly noting the king-size bed and well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests mentioned issues with the boiler and the mattress, which suggests room for improvement in this category.

The Lodge was well equipped, bed very large and comfortable, heating system kept us perfectly warm in the depths of winter. The Lodge is within easy reach of the city of Chester.

We had a very peaceful stay here and loved waking up to seeing the horses opposite us. The surrounding area is very peaceful and quiet and we had the best sleep. The bed was huge and very comfy, the rooms were decorated very tastefully and had everything we needed. As others have mentioned the shower water does cover the floor a little in the wet room but its just something to keep an eye on while showering and made sure we used the squeegee provided to keep it in check. Not a big issue. The shower itself was amazing, water was nice and hot and had two showerheads to use so could alternate. Kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. There is no freezer but we didn't find this an issue as we just stocked up with food that could be kept in fridge only. We would definitely stay here again if in the area again and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a lovely stay!
