Approximately 3 miles from Tarporley and 12 miles southeast of Chester is the community of Bunbury, which is located at the western border of the Cheshire Plain. Although little is known about its history before the Norman conquest, it is generally agreed that the name is Saxon in origin. It is also believed that the current parish church's location was the location of a Christian place of worship well before 1066. Early accounts of the village refer to it as Bunan byrig, the Buna stronghold. Today's village is home to a supermarket, three pubs and the stunning St Boniface Church, which is registered as a Grade I listed building on England's National Heritage List. The well-known market town of Nantwich is eight miles away. It hosts regular markets every week and a monthly farmer's market that features the best local produce. There are also numerous events held there throughout the year, such as the Jazz and Blues Music Festival at Easter and the renowned Cheese Awards in July. Everything you could possibly need was there. We felt very much at home, and the surroundings were peaceful even with the milk lorries and tractors ! Thankyou for the visit around the farm, very enlightening, our 2 year old loved watching the cows and meeting the calves. All in all a wonderful stay in this perfect cottage !

It's even better than the photos suggest, the accommodation is so spacious, giving us everything we need and providing a relaxing experience. Having the 3 large bathrooms ( one on each of the three levels), give us convenience and privacy for a group of 6. For such a big open plan place it was surprisingly warm and cosy . My son loved the mezzanine floor with the sofabed and bathroom as it gave him privacy but at the same time he could still be involved with what was going on in the main living area. The dogs loved the safe, spacious garden. Surrounded by lovely countryside. Wonderful for all the guests. Definitely would go back. Thank you!

It was probably one of the nicest holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. Despite the very cold weather and the large rooms the building was very warm when we arrived and remained that way throughout. The Welcome pack was fabulous and the Owners were really helpful, we had everything we needed. We would definetly recommend and come back.
