Set around a pretty courtyard on the friendly owner’s working farm, as a former milking parlour they’re both full of character with exposed beams, brick and high vaulted ceilings. They boast underfloor heating and make a wonderful base from which to explore the attractions of the surrounding area.
In nearby Middlewich, just a ten-minute drive away, you’ll find ample amenities together with a beautiful meandering canal system perfect for towpath cycling or strolls. Approximately fifteen minutes in the other direction is the pretty half-timbered town of Nantwich, which offers good shopping and quite uniquely, a seasonal outdoor salt swimming pool.
Halfway between Chester, approximately forty-five minutes away and Manchester, around sixty minutes, the location is within easy reach of a whole host of visitor attractions. Many National Trust properties, such as Tatton Park, Little Moreton Hall and Dunham Massey, can all be reached in around 30 minutes.
The castles of Beeston, Cholmondeley and Peckforton are also approximately 30 minutes away, as are Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere. Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium are both about forty-five minutes away, as is the Peak District National Park. Swapping coast for countryside, you can reach the coastal areas of North Wales and Liverpool in around an hour, or enjoy the thrills and spills of Britain’s premier theme park, Alton Towers. You are spoilt for choice!
