High Bank cottage is a wonderfully spacious property which can be found in the delightful village of Bunbury, on the western edge of the Cheshire Plain. Most famous as the back drop to the ITV series ‘Home Fires’, the pretty village is deemed ‘Quintessentially British’, and landmarks such as St Boniface’s Church and the local pub which stood in for the Doctors surgery, are easily recognisable. The butcher’s shop is now unfortunately closed. There is also a well-stocked general store opposite, three pubs serving food, a café and a fish and chip shop, all in in walking distance.
For those wanting to explore the great outdoors, you can walk to Sadlers Wells Wood, Bunbury Watermill or take a stroll down to Bunbury Staircase Locks on the Shropshire Union Canal.
