This beautifully renovated cottage, ready for summer 2024, offers a serene escape with views over a vast communal lawn and access to 7 acres of woodland and meadows, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and dog lovers. Located just 6 miles from the coast, The Rabbits Warren provides easy access to the charming seaside towns of Staithes, Whitby, and Runswick Bay, each offering beautiful beaches and coastal charm.
As you step inside The Rabbits Warren, you’re greeted by a modern and welcoming kitchen, open plan with a dining area, perfect for enjoying home-cooked meals. The separate lounge features comfortable seating on two sofas around the TV, providing a cosy spot to unwind after a day of exploration. Upstairs, you’ll find a beautifully furnished king bedroom and a double bedroom, along with a modern shower room, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay.
We welcome dogs but insist you don’t allow your animals upstairs or in the bedrooms.

The perfect retreat. So comfy. Facilities are excellent. Both bedrooms are beautiful, spacious, ... luxurious. Fantastic kitchen and living room. There are even picnic tables in the back garden. Plenty of parking.The only thing I'd change (apart from staying another week) would be warning signs on the road as to where to turn off. Maybe that's not allowed? I'd love to stay again. A great base for visiting the coast, moors, or local towns and villages. Thank you.

We loved our stay in the Rabbit Warren. Was made to feel very welcome by Peter. Very comfortable large bed which is quite rare but very much appreciated! Plenty of nice walks in the area and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Feedback has already been passed on to the owner regarding some cleanliness issues and areas that could be improved.The cottage itself sits on a very busy main road, and it really doesn’t quieten down, even at night. There’s a communal grassed area which is handy if you have a dog that just needs a quick stretch, though it’s a shame not all guests pick up after themselves. There’s also a small wooded area, but it isn’t suitable if you’re hoping for proper dog walks — there are no walking routes directly from the cottage.We were lucky with the weather, and it worked fine as a base if you’re happy to drive out each day.
