Daffodil Lodge is praised for its beautiful, peaceful location and wildlife, with many guests enjoying the cosy, clean cabins and the proximity to Saltburn-by-the-Sea. While some guests mention issues with noise from nearby events and suggestions for improvements, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found the lodge clean and comfortable, though there were a few mentions of areas that could have been cleaner, such as under the bed and around the toilet. The presence of dog hair in the vacuum cleaner was noted by one guest.
The lodge's location is highly appreciated for its tranquillity and natural beauty. Guests enjoyed the wildlife and walks, although some noted the steep and slippery access to the seafront and the proximity to a wedding venue that could be noisy.
Guests generally found the lodge to be comfortable, with a good heating system and a fantastic shower. However, some guests suggested that the beds could be more comfortable and that the patios could be better enclosed for pets.
The facilities were deemed adequate by most, with a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. However, some guests felt that the cooking appliances were slow and that the addition of a dishwasher and better patio furniture would improve the experience.
Guests were delighted with the welcome pack upon arrival, which added a thoughtful touch to their stay. It is worth noting that such gifts, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Was perfect for us. Great location too. Loved the welcome pack. Will definitely be back. Peacocks outside every day too. There was a few weddings whilst we were there but nothing that disturbed us. Was nice to hear the cheering and clapping

Would benefit from a dishwasher for stays longer than a couple of days. However, the position of the lodge in close proximity to Rushpool Hall, a wedding venue, means it is very noisy. When we visited for a long weekend, the music was extremely loud and continued till 1.30am. Sleep was impossible. When the lodge is described as being in the grounds, it should also state its closeness to the Hall. Definitely not suitable for a quiet, peaceful holiday.

Beautiful surroundings with some nice walks with our dog. We even met some fairly tame peacocks outside our cabin one afternoon. We did hear the celebrations from a couple of weddings at the Hall but we knew about that possibility when we booked. Having just got married ourselves it didnât bother us in the slightest. Staithes is definitely worth a visit as is Saltburn. Would highly recommend.
