Nearby Cragside House and Gardens is well worth a visit, offering fascinating history and several woodland and lakeside walks. The nearby market town of Alnwick is just under half an hour s drive away, home to a range of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a historic castle, famous for the Harry Potter films. No trip to Northumberland is complete without exploring the stunning coastline and Sugar Sands beach is just over half an hour away.
