The accommodation has been fully refurbished in 2019 and completed to a good standard. On the ground floor there is a stylish living room at the front. To the rear is the added convenience of a second living area; a cosy snug/recreational room with an additional sofa, table and chairs and good a selection of books and games. The kitchen/dining room has also been fully refitted and offers fresh and contemporary appliances. All four bedrooms are on the first floor and immaculately presented throughout. Three of the bedrooms are at the front of the property to enjoy the fabulous views towards the sea and Bamburgh, and the rear double bedroom looks over the garden with the shoreline close by too.
Located on the outskirts of Seahouses gives Northwinds the advantage of being within easy reach of the many facilities whilst enjoying a more relaxing, peaceful ambience. There is the benefit of driveway parking and the rear garden is totally enclosed with a private patio area and garden swing seat.
Boat trips depart regularly from the harbour to the Farne Islands where the puffins and seal colonies are a delight to watch. Dolphins regularly accompany the boats too. Golf and horse riding are both available in Seahouses and there is a wide choice of places to eat. There is a golden, sandy beach less than 100 yards from the property making Northwinds an ideal choice for a traditional family holiday. The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, dominated by its dramatic fortress, is only 2 miles north and Beadnell Bay is popular for watersport enthusiasts, only 3 miles south. Heading a short drive inland to the market town of Alnwick where the castle is home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Alnwick Garden is also a popular visitor attraction. Northwinds is an idyllic retreat for those seeking well presented coastal accommodation and makes an excellent base to explore the Heritage Coastline recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Northwinds is ideally situated for exploring this part of Northumberland. The beach is an easy walk away and the town provides shops, EV charging and a working harbour. The views from the master bedroom include the Farne Islands and The Cheviots. From the lounge there were views to Bamborough Castle. When we were there there were Curlews and Lapwings in the field at the front. The house was adequately provided for but not quite as well as it should have been. I say this as we are an elderly couple and not a group of eight which this house would sleep. The TV's screen was fine but it was only free view, very old and I would imagine a younger family would have been disappointed to have lost their streaming possibilities. There was one HDMI port on the TV.Overall I think it was a nice house and we would stay there again.

We had a great time here. Very clean house with views over fields to Bamburgh castle. You can hear the sea from the front rooms - the beach is just over the main road (occasionally busy) and the dunes. Walking distance to Seahouses. The house is nicely decorated and comfortable, although one guest found the mattress felt uncomfortable due to lack of a mattress protector, but most wouldn’t. It might be worth updating the information folder and leaflets. A smart tv rather than ordinary tv would be great, and a pair of oven gloves- but these are minor niggles in what was very nice accommodation. We recommend the Farne island boat trip, Elan pizza, Neptune fish and chips, Berwick for a nice day out, Craster and Dunstanburgh, Alnwick for lots to do, Bamburgh castle.
